Because the following commercial properties are unique, they do not fall into the four general classifications:

- Church
- Hotel
- Assisted living, adult, or nursing home.
Land
Land itself can also be commercial property. But land cannot be classified commercially until the property use is determined. Land may be developed for use strictly as commercial property, e.g., as a golf course, or for use as a residential subdivision.
